In 2000 I made my fifth trip to England

This was my fifth trip to England.  My first trip, in 1989, was to see my son when he was a college exchange student.  I fell in love with England but was sure I would never have the opportunity to return.  Circumstances changed in 1992 when after a serious illness I decided to allow myself the pleasure of another visit.  I had a wonderful time visiting my exchange daughter Lisa and her family.  It was then I decided to return every three years if at all possible.

In 1995 my husband joined me for what I obviously consider my best trip.  A special event in 1997 took me to England one year earlier than previously planned.  What a joy it was to attend my English exchange daughter's wedding.  Now I have an English son as well as daughter!

The Lilliput Collector's Fair was held at Syon Park. Pictured above is the conservatory and my Lilliput collection.

I think of the Playford's and the Merriman's as family. They are very special to all of us. I only wish we could see them more often.
